Ron passed away on June 22, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. According to classmate Raymond Bourassa, "Ron was a very meticulous man in everything he attempted. Whether it was building motorcycles of flying airplanes it had to be perfect. He got into commercial aviation the hard way: without military training, and retired from America West as one of their senior pilots."

Ron was the best man at my first wedding in 1965. We were close friends for many years. Ron, Ray, and I were always hanging out and cruising after high school. When Ron moved away from the Seattle area we lost touch. I saw him once afterwards while he was working for America West and he was here to visit his parents. Ray said it well. He was a perfectionist. I remember he bought a new Camero in 1969 and when he drove it he had to miss every pot hole and tar strip he could so the car would not develop rattles. I truly wish we could have stayed closer. I miss you Ron.
