So sorry to hear of Tom's death. My condolences to his family. Fishing was a dangerous occupation in Alaska, having done it in Cook Inlet with my husband for several years. Great rewards, but dangerous.
So sorry to hear how young Tom was when he went to meet his maker. I didn't know him well, but their family lived katty corner across the street from me when I lived in Edmonds and attended EHS. Knew his sister Lois better than I did him. We are at an age now where it's not surprising to read about someone passing. He was far too young, but he worked a very dangerous job. May he be at peace and one day down the road we will all meet again. I know he is missed by a lot of people who loved and cared about him. Thank you for posting this new information.

Tom, an Alaska crab fisherman, out of Kodiak was lost in Alitak Bay on Kodiak, Island in January 1993. He was lost with two
other Kodiak fishermen on the boat Massacre Bay. There was only one survivor. The Massacre Bay an 86' crab boat capsized and sank in
a big NW storm.. Tom was 48 years old.
